The throttle body is a critical component of a vehicle's air intake system that regulates the amount of air entering the engine. This air is then mixed with fuel and ignited to produce power. The throttle body is typically located between the air filter and the intake manifold, and it plays a key role in controlling the engine's power output and overall performance.

Types of Throttle Bodies:
Mechanical Throttle Body: Uses a direct mechanical link (usually a cable) between the accelerator pedal and the throttle plate. As the driver presses the pedal, the cable pulls the throttle plate open.

Electronic Throttle Body (Drive-by-Wire): Uses sensors and actuators controlled by the ECU to adjust the throttle plate. This system offers more precise control over engine performance and is common in modern vehicles.
